This Naked Mind has ignited a movement across the country, helping thousands of people forever change their relationship with alcohol.
Many people question whether drinking has become too big a part of their lives, and worry that it may even be affecting their health. But, they resist change because they fear losing the pleasure and stress-relief associated with alcohol, and assume giving it up will involve deprivation and misery.
This Naked Mind offers a new, positive solution. Here, Annie Grace clearly presents the psychological and neurological components of alcohol use based on the latest science, and reveals the cultural, social, and industry factors that support alcohol dependence in all of us.  Packed with surprising insight into the reasons we drink, this book will open your eyes to the startling role of alcohol in our culture, and how the stigma of alcoholism and recovery keeps people from getting the help they need. With Annie’s own extraordinary and candid personal story at its heart, this book is a must-read for anyone who drinks.

This Naked Mind will give you freedom from alcohol. It removes the psychological dependence so that you will not crave alcohol, allowing you to easily drink less (or stop drinking). With clarity, humor, and a unique blend of science and storytelling, This Naked Mind will open the door to the life you have been waiting for.

I am over a year sober but sobriety books still interest me and keep me appreciative of my journey. This book is packed full of great information. She includes her personal story, information about the effects of alcohol on the brain and the body, while also empowering people to challenge themselves to step outside of the alcohol lifestyle. This is a great book and it inspired me.

    Authentic and relatable.
  • Waste of time and worse, waste of hope

    By isthereanicnamethatsnottaken
The beginning of this book promises a painless and easy way to break free from the addiction of alcohol. A way to remove the desire, and therefore the temptation of alcohol by reversing the conditioning of the subconscious... BS!!! After hours of listening to her stumble over her own words, waiting for her to actually reveal an approach, all she does is give you factual knowledge on the dangers of drinking, along with her cheesy anecdotal comparisons. Then sums it up by basically saying ‘now that you’ve listened to this book, you will no longer have the desire to drink’.... What a waste of money, time, and worse HOPE! The author should be ashamed for promising and encouraging readers a way out, when all she does is go on and on about the dangers of alcohol. A lot of the population already posses that knowledge. That doesn’t lessen the addiction.. Frustrating and delusional.
  • 100% Plagiarism!

    By GoWithTheReal
The author has taken Allen Carr’s “Easy Way to Control Alcohol,” chewed it up and then spit it out onto the paper in almost the exact same format prior to her ingesting and almost destroying it. Along with this regurgitated mess of Allen Carr’s book, are splats of useless information added on in an obvious, yet feeble, attempt to claim ownership of the original ideas of the book. I’m not sure how this could have been published being such blatant plagiarism. Avoid this trash and read the real book by Allen Carr.

This simple non condescending or condemning outlook towards your relationship with alcohol is so helpful and probably saved my life. It made me evaluate what I put into my body, food, drink, what I read and watch. Great read!
  • This is a shameless copy of another book

    By p_dragonfly
I am not sure how this author has absconded with ripping off another book written in the past except maybe the copyright on the original may have expired. This is absolutely shameless plagiarism. I guess she found a way to make it work for her but I would look at her tributaries and read those first you will see what I mean. Even the progression of the topics is embarrassingly copied. How have editors allowed this to happen? I guess the original author of the book since he has passed cannot defend himself so it is an open field of opportunity for a person to exploit the content. By the way, this approach doesn’t really work for most people who are true addicts and it didn’t work the first time which was the major criticism of the first author of this book. Research on addiction has far surpassed the simplicity offered here, which is a sort of hypnotic approach that neglects the complexity of highly intelligent addictive behavior. A good read if you know nothing about alcohol. Worth nothing if you do.
