  • One of my top ten

    By Ileahj
I read this book in two days, it was incredible. The author is humble and well spoken. Reading this book was a journey through the humanness we all share and the characters are all so relatable.
  • A reminder to stay present.

I enjoyed reading this book! It was a lovely reminder to stay present in life, to love and live, to be calm, to be vulnerable, to not be afraid to share your emotions Bc life is too short and yet life is long so make the best of it.

The BEST read I’ve had in a while.
  • Must read

As a therapist with 30+ years of experience working with couples and individuals I found this warm, funny, loving book about one therapist’s experience working with her clients and revealing her own experience in therapy to be compelling. This book should be a part of every therapist’s library and every aspiring therapist’s training. Gottlieb’s honesty and vulnerability, her willingness to show her humanity as opposed to appearing strictly professional is a breath of fresh air.
  • Addicting and Elegantly Written

    By Selenaxa
The plot line is chaotic and you delve deep into each of her clients and begin to love them dearly. Could not be written any better. Loved it!
  • Better than I thought

As a nurse practitioner in psychiatry, this book was meaningful. Enough said.
  • Very relatable and encouraging!

I’m a counseling intern. I just went through a rough breakup and was relieved to find a book about a therapist going through a breakup. It was comforting to see how this happens to others and how they deal with it while still seeing their own clients. After I started this book, I got my own therapist and continued reading. Not only was this book helpful personally, but it counted toward my internship hours because it has such great information about therapy! Incredible book!
  • Couldn’t put it down

One of my fav books of all time
  • Very slow

    By Laura papadelis
I initially loved the book, and it’s a good story; but extremely slow : could have been done in less pages for sure , it dragged a little . Took me forever to finish reading
