Chris Perez tells the story of his relationship with music superstar Selena in this heartfelt tribute.

One of the most compelling and adored superstars in Latin music history, Selena was nothing short of a phenomenon who shared all of herself with her millions of devoted fans. Her tragic murder, at the young age of twenty-three, stripped the world of her talent and boundless potential, her tightly knit family of their beloved angel, and her husband, Chris Perez, of the greatest love he had ever known.

For over a decade, Chris held on to the only personal thing he had left from his late wife: the touching and sometimes painful memories of their very private bond. Now, for the first time, Chris opens up about their unbreakable friendship, forbidden relationship, and blossoming marriage, which were cut short by Selena’s unforgivable death.

Chris’s powerful story gives a rare glimpse into Selena’s sincerity and vulnerability when falling in love, strength and conviction when fighting for that love, and absolute resilience when finding peace and normalcy with her family’s acceptance of the only man she called her husband. While showcasing a side of Selena that has never been disclosed before and clarifying certain misconceptions about her life and death, To Selena, with Love is an everlasting love story that immortalizes the heart and soul of an extraordinary, unforgettable, and irreplaceable icon.

Thank you Chris for sharing your story with the world. I can’t remember exactly when I first heard Selena’s music but I can tell you this…That powerful voice and raw emotion was something that left a lasting imprint till this day all the way over here on an island across the Pacific Ocean. When I began to discover more about Selena through the various articles, videos or stories that I read or saw what really touched me was that she was “Real.” She seemed like a down to earth soul. Bigger than life but humble to the core. I love listening to music in many different genres but very rarely do I ever feel a sense of connection to any artist or group like I do when I listen to her songs. Communication on that level is deep. That’s why Selena’s star will continue to shine. I am jealous of you brother. You had an opportunity to share your life with an Angel. I can only hope that I will be so fortunate. Best wishes to you and your family. Aloha from Hawaii…. Chason

This honestly wrapped up everything, I wish the family would’ve allowed Chris to be more involved in the series. This wrapped up everything from his prospective. Adding this would’ve made her story more realistic and relatable. This book just made me love her more as fan.

This is the most beautiful book I have ever read. I am glad to have read how much of a person Selena was when she wasn’t on stage, loving her life with her husband and family.
